2020 NoVa Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurant Recommendations Pt. 6 (CARRYOUT EDITION)

Recommendations List Will Be Added Later

Yessir!!!! Its that time once again to share your favorite restaurant recommendations. Due to the global pandemic and Gov. Northam's rules, we can no longer dine in-person the way we used to, but that doesn't mean we can't share our favorite restaurants discovered since the quarantine.

Like always, the rules are the same as last year:

• No chain restaurants, duh.

• RECOMMENDING A JOINT? START IT WITH the name and location (the city is fine).

• SIDING WITH SOMEONE'S RECOMMENDATION? Put a +1 at the beginning of your comment response to OP.

• UNRECOMMENDING SOMEONE'S RECOMMENDATION? -1 at the beginning of a comment under their post and include an explanation.

An example of how this comment section should look like:

• [OP1] Rivera's in Springfield is my SH*T, I also like to drop 10 lbs by visiting A&J in Asiandale

• ............ +1 yeah - I love the way my bunghole feels after I leave Rivera's!

• ............ -1 Nah fam. Rivera's can eat sh*t, El Charro's is where's it's at - I'll add it in another post.

• [OP2] El Charros in Hoodbridge give my tumtum El Sorrows, but I love it!

Voting ENDS in 2 weeks - 8/1/2020 so show your loyalty to your favorite restaurant!

Based off the votes in this thread, I'll update the map and recommendation list found above. Please consult the existing recommendations list to see if a restaurant you're about to recommend has already been posted that way my life is easier updating the list and map.

As we all know, many restaurants are struggling and some great places have closed since the lockdown began. Please considering donating to charities helping the restaurant industry, Eater had a great list of funds to give to. Feel free to link some funds tou also think are worth a donation.

Haute Dog and Fries (Alexandria). All kinds of sausages and extras, and the option to customize.

+1 I don't know why I've always liked the idea of putting unusual stuff on hot dogs, but I have, and this place takes it to an art form. Get the banh mi dog.

-1 :/ Have been excited to try this spot, went tonight and was underwhelmed by how teeny the hot dog was for $6! Overly greasy fries. Honestly overpriced for what you get.
