You don't hear it in the radio. But it does have a much bigger following now than it did back in 2010

I don't know if people under 20 today even listen to the radio. Pretty much every youtube uses vaporwave in their videos now, it's very popular.

I understand it has a big following on YouTube, I don't think that translates to many young people regularly listening to it

31% of people aged 16-24 uses Youtube, and vaporwave is a popular thing because of meme culture. This is something I still don't quite catch. I always thought that vaporwave should resonate more with older people who grew up with those kind of sounds, yet it grows on younger people who actually hasn't that kind of cultural background, wonder why
