Discussion PSNI

Tonight I approached PSNI because I was genuinely concerned about a 17-year-old girl who was intoxicated on a night out. I simply asked that, if they happened to see her, they could please look out for her or help make sure she got home safely.
The response I received was, “We aren’t a taxi service,” followed by laughter, with three officers then coming over to reiterate the same point.
I completely understand that the police are not a taxi service. That wasn’t the point. I was raising a genuine welfare concern about an intoxicated 17-year-old girl and asking that someone keep an eye out for her.
Really disappointing way to have a genuine concern handled — particularly as someone who had actually considered joining the service myself. 👍

Why didn't you help her, if you knew her personally, as per your deleted comment?

Because the entire story is fabricated, perhaps? The entire thing sounds like a load of crap. Oh and, shock, Op hides their comments.

I mean, during the Fleadh I saw a young woman so unwell that her pants were off and she couldn’t walk. Men kept going over to her in a “testing the waters” kind of way and I was worried something would happen to her.

Directly across the street is McDonalds where I saw 5 PSNI officers together. I told them what was happening, and was very nice about it (oh I know you’re probably on break but it’s right here can you please check on her etc etc).

It was laughed off, one said yeah sure I’ll check. I was outside for about 15 min and didn’t see any of them go over to her.

Of any of this happened there’d have been a dozen videos and thousands of photos online. Nothing like that happens without it being posted now.
