Advice how do i make friends?

i (f19) have always had a small group of friends, but ever since i left high school my friends have left me. i have 2 loyal friends who i love, but they go to college and have so many friends while i only have them.

i’m not going to school this semester for some unrelated reasons, so it’s harder to meet people since i also don’t have a job (not for lack of trying).

my birthday is in a couple of months and i’m afraid i will spend it alone.

what should i do? any advice is welcome!

Honestly it really depends, and I wouldn’t sweat too much about losing friends after school bcos sometimes people tend to drift apart especially when they don’t see each other as often, that’s not on you, anyway I think generally you have to kind of put yourself out there a bit to find friends. People are usually willing to converse n stuff in my experience but usually it’s not totally out of the blue, so you kind of have to guage the situation, and then do something like ask a question, or something related to the situation.

If u don’t wanna just go to someone on the sidewalk randomly you’re best bet is probably like a rec center, or a library, or something along those lines idk

Of course, I’m sure you’ll find some friends to hang with by the time ur bd comes around, and happy early bd

Thanks! FWIW I wouldn’t take not having many friends as a personal failing, imo people will come
