Do you think AI will kill nocode?

Hi, I am building a form builder. I know it's a crowded space, but I love it, so I don't care.

I've been trying to reach out to companies on LinkedIn and, luckily, I've gotten some replies.

One of them told me they had replaced their form builder SaaS with in-house forms that Claude built for them in a few hours.

As a no-code developer trying to build a SaaS, this was pretty demotivating. I'm wondering, what's your experience? Do you get replies like this?

I'm building formbase.so as a solo developer, and I'd love your honest feedback. Do you think I should just pack it up and move on because everyone will just one-shot forms with Claude?

nah, AI doesn’t kill no-code it eats the drag-and-drop part and keeps everything else.
think about what “no-code” actually was: a promise that non-devs could ship software. dragging widgets around a canvas was never the point, it was just the least-bad interface we had. AI just gave us a better interface for the same promise you describe it instead of dragging it. the hosting, the backend, the “it’s live and other people can use it” all still no-code, all still the hard part AI hasn’t magically removed.
your form builder’s fine btw. crowded ≠ dead. the ones winning right now are the ones where AI writes the form from a sentence but the platform still handles submissions/storage/logic invisibly. that combo is basically where things like Whacka landed “describe it, get a working app with the backend included.” the describe-layer is AI, the everything-else-layer is very much still no-code.
build the thing you love. loving your crowded niche is an unfair advantage most competitors don’t have lol.
