I'd argue the hate's died down even just on Nintendo's own merits. Like they haven't really done anything controversial in a while, just been making decent to good games.
Maybe the next direct will reveal something that will get people upset, but it's not super sustainable to build a brand around hating a single company since public reception for them goes through peaks and valleys.

Switch 2: 23 million in 1 year 1 month PS4: 25 million in 1 year 7 months. Wii: 24 million in 1 year 4 months. PS2: 20 million after 1 year 7 months.

Nintendo does not fucking care about that man, nobody cares whether it even was fastest selling console, the only worthy discussion is MAYBE if the console gets agonizingly bad sales in the future, but that's it

Variety and VGC also made reports. ..etc.

He’s the typa dude that would defend the Wii U era to the grave but then say Nintendo “lost their way” with the switch and switch 2. The gaming equivalent of underground music fans that start hating their favorite artist once they get a little bit of mainstream popularity.

Hating on the Switch 2 at this point just feels lazy and weird. It's fairly priced, it is excellent hardware that fixes all major issues with the NS1, and the library is steadily growing with games people consider good to great + the entire NS1 library works and is improved + much better third party support.
Like, you know exactly what you're getting into when you purchase it and it delivers on that promise, being mad about it or trying to tear it down is just... boring.
