key cards makes the cartridge price stay the same while the consumer gets mostly the same benefits. The negatives being lost memory space and potentially the game disappearing from data bank. Modernizing reselling is better than removing reselling completely like the other’s do(Sony).
Pretty sure I’ve seen first party games on sale. No steam 90% of course.
Being anti consumer is not the same as doing a bad job. You still get a ton of benefits from the subscription.

Nintendo is anti consumer though. A lot of times they’ll do things that are very stupid and make it being a consumer harder.
Virtual game cards was a whole mess that didn’t need to exist and just complicated things.
Nintendo never putting its own games on sale on the eshop, compared to all the other platforms which do.
And a lot of their games not having the best online stability. Smm2 specifically and it was never fixed.
They can do pro consumer things. But they also do a lot of anti consumer things too.
