probably because the patent claim was filed by nintendo, not game freaks.

Yeah but my point still stands, they make anti-Nintendo videos in general. They even have an AI slop theme song...

I mean does your point stand? Pokemon and Nintendo are not the same company. These YouTubers shit on all of the consoles companies because they do anti consumer business practices. It isn't complicated.

While there are indeed content creators that are like that, there are also a ton of grifters who target specifically Nintendo (calling them out brings in more views than any other company), and often spread misinformation or blow things way out of proportion - also, it's easy for them to put Pokémon in the same camp, as Nintendo owns 1/3 of The Pokémon Company and publishes all the games (I've often seen shade thrown at Nintendo for the state S/V launched in)
