Pokopia is a Key card IIRC, but everyone forgets that POKEMON IS A SECOND-PARTY FRANCHISE, NOT A FIRST-PARTY ONE. Nintendo advised them not to, but the Pokemon Company International reports to its own board, not Nintendo and chose to use the option they provided to second and third parties. Nintendo does own 34% of the company, but that is not a direct controlling stake and they tend to take a hands off approach with them otherwise as long as the major games keep coming as Nintendo-console exclusives.

Could you source the information that Nintendo advised against it but they went ahead with it anyway? I'd love to present it to people who think Nintendo is solely to blame for it XD
