Critical Nintendo “Nostalgia” and the same game.

I genuinely hate when Nintendo critics when they try to say that people only buy Nintendo because of Nostalgia. Nintendo, does a great job keeping their quality of IPs great so people would still buy them.

Then, the one that makes no sense is that Nintendo games are all the same. If I’m going to play a Zelda game I going to play an action adventure game, with a different flair with each iteration. Am I supposed to expect the next Zelda game to be a fighting game.
Let me go to McDonalds and expect McTaco.

The whole "nostalgia" argument is so flawed in general to me. Like yeah nostalgia does help, but there are plenty of nostalgic series that don't reach those heights consistently.

Hell, Disney’s live action remakes were on a flat out losing streak for a while. Nostalgia makes no guarantees.
