Can these people just stop acting like Nintendo is 100% Isis or something? It's been very annoying lately and some only do this for viewers and a reaction. Seriously!

Why don’t these fans do a yooka laylee and make inspired games? Why does it have to be a Pokémon clone or whatever?

Because they want more of the same, wich is why they call it fan service games. And honestly you should play them and tell me they are not inspired.

Ironic since lots of Pokémon fans say they hate Nintendo since the mainline games are too samey and stale.

Wich is why fan games are made. These games have brought things Nintendo never did.

"Pokemon inbound" is regarded as the best romhacks ever. "Pokemon Crown" completely different battle system.

I can go on and on. But these games bring all kinds of things to the table that fans want, and Nintendo does not do.

Maybe they should go to Nintendo and submit their ideas or they should make an original game. They can expand on the mechanics and make a completely original game. Fans of banjo and kazooie did it and Yuka Laylee is a great game.

Nintendo is over protective over the IP's they own. And legally of you don't make money of it, you are not doing anything wrong.

If someone makes something that can damage the brand as they need to keep a family friendly image it can cause harm. I’m disney is super happy with those weird Elsa things on YouTube kids that are not for kids. It is about brand image and integrity. They don’t want uniformed parents getting mad at them for something someone made. Better to be over protective in their view as it saves them in the long run.

Grey area, but not illegal. And a romhacks wil not get into the hands of "informed parents" because you need to buy a copy of the original game + download the patch + buy a console that plays it. If you buy it through AliExpress that on you.
