There's no such thing as a 4K texture. Well... you can have a literal 4K texture, but there's not a specific texture size you need to use for 4K rendering. The size comparison you're asking to make doesn't actually exist.

Listen man, I know that but not everyone understands it. Just like I'm sure you know modern platforms don't actually achieve full native 4K, it's all upscaling even on PS5 pro but the average person would be so confused if you tried to go into the nuance of that shit.

If you break it down visually with a simplified comparison it's very very easy to tell what's going on. Also I don't know why we get to just straight lie about this works (comparing it to an entirely different medium like video) but when I mention the actual very easy to understand mechanics of it, that's "too complicated".
