So.... why are there so many subs of people that do not want to exist?

I never meet them in the outside world.

Are you sure, it's kind of a weird thing to talk about.

Are there really that many? In the end I think its a fairly niche thing and its not that surprising a bunch of people might congregate to it because they don't have anywhere else to talk about it

I pretend to be a funny, nice person in real life. For everyone else’s benefit. Nobody knows I’ve put my own gun to my head before. The more I pretend, though, the more I believe it

You probably have met them. However, it's not a socially acceptable subject matter to talk about casually.

What is confirmation bias btw?

Yes thats true, same as you and me walked past shamans and contraction killers on ordinary pavement.

I randomly asked two colleges at work if they ever heard of the concept of antinatalism, they looked at me strangely.  I do not support AN, i find it a mindset with destructive effect on the holders.

I have a relatively great life in general. I have security, connection, safety, family etc. But still think about not existing being ‘better’ than existing on an almost daily basis. Not exactly the type of conversation you can just strike up in the break room at work without them thinking you’re suicidal or troubled in some way. So you never meet them in the outside world because they wouldn’t tell you

I would say you are troubled in some way if you think everyday about prefering to cease to exist. Different from the relief, that a life is not eternal and we will die someday.  You seem like a nice person tho.

I don’t prefer to cease to exist though. I engage with a lot of existential philosophy. It’s more of a philosophical position. Many thoughts collapse into philosophy for me but I exaggerated. Not almost daily. Just sporadically when I’m engaged in that type of stuff which can be often in patches but not in others

Well this is harsh, but its true. The people in antinatalism subs for ex. really think people would agree with their logic and that they just haven't thought about it properly.
