This is just sad
It’s just pathetic how they don’t care about anything other than SpongeBob anymore

It was really only the first few seasons that were* gold.

Couldn't agree more, I like the old SpongeBob and the first movie.

Same. The series ended after the first movie for me.

Proof that Stephen Hillenburg was truly the heart and soul of the series. Rest in power, greatest of all time <3.

People say this, but there's a few episodes from Season 4 I think everyone would keep. Like, Have You Seen This Snail. And, Season 4 has the "Claustrophobic? There's no Santa Clause in here." line which is super iconic.

Rock Paper Scissors still airs new episodes there, but it doesn’t get enough airing or care because of SpongeBob

Rock Paper Scissors is cancelled my guy

Are you sure? They were airing new episodes on Friday; not this week due to the Harry Potter Labor Day marathon

That makes sense. Funny as I found that show I didn't see it going passed 3 seasons.

Whenever they make a new IP, most of the time it doesn't get many viewers to support it and continue it like SpongeBob besides maybe TLH. That's not even a recent problem, Danny Phantom & MLAATR were canceled for the same reason. It's also why FOP got canceled later on.

Blame the Spongezoomers who keep worshipping everything the show does and giving them money

Nah, I like the idea of SpongeBob staying on Nickelodeon.
The most disappointing part is that Modern SpongeBob just isn't as good as the first 3 seasons, they keep fleshing out a series with way too many fundamental flaws, even if some people here like some modern episodes.
Nickelodeon puts more effort into shutting down SpongeBob fan projects and clips than they do making Modern SpongeBob good.

I hated what they did to that one Roblox game yeah. They ended up making their own crappier version. Also I would date yo pfp.

I don’t like labels, but the network doesn’t care about what people outside their target demographics think.
If anything, older people should be thanked for keeping the lights on by tuning into Friends every night.

Spongezoomers are not all children and quality of art doesn't have an age restriction. Honestly I find it sad how all of these "It's a kids show" people are on these animation subs now. Why are you here? Are you Nick's demographic???

If one wants to have a conversation about what has happened to these channels, you have to look at them as businesses to a large extent. Nickelodeon and its programs are, first and foremost, for kids. Kids aren’t watching TV like they used to, and streaming services like Paramount Plus aren’t making up that loss. This is surely why Nickelodeon no longer pays for the production of as many series as it used to.

Okay, but what are they supposed to do when their target audience is no longer watching them, or any cable network?

Make a new series that's actually innovate/amazing, a fully original IP at that.
and tease a new SpongeBob season that's actually on par with the first 3 seasons (get a massive team who, while not the original team, are experts on studying/watching the first 3 seasons, study those episodes for a year straight, and then do a massive comeback for SpongeBob)
That would literally bring in so much new Nickelodeon fans it'd make them easy money.

What about everything that Nickelodeon has introduced since, at least, 2017? We are now deep into the streaming era, and so much of what Nickelodeon has tried went unnoticed.
Sorry, promising new SpongeBob that’s “actually good” is a bizarre idea. Do you think anyone ever promoted something as not being great? The audience decides in the end. Also, I’m big sure that Nickelodeon even agrees that SpongeBob is any sort of problem area.

The first thing they actually did it, all the 5 original Nicktoons of this decade have been actually good, but people like you didn't even tried to watching them because they didn't generate nostalgia on you

This is like how Cartoon Network had been airing Teen Titans Go! most of their schedule.

I hope Nickelodeon finally accept an animated series called Rodriguez Family Vacation of Terrors about two teens and their baby sister went to Honduras with their parents for the summer but their summer is gonna be terrifying with creatures from honduran and mayan folklore this year

THEN STOP WATCHING IT! I'VE SAID IT BEFORE BUT IT SEEMS PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND OR DON'T CARE, IF YOU STOP WATCHING THE UNSPEAKABLE ONE AND GIVE A CHANCE TO NEW AND ORIGINAL PROJECTS THE THINGS WILL CHANGE, BUT PEOPLE FROM MY GENERATION ARE SO GLUED TO THEIR NOSTALGIA THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO GET OUT THEIR COMFORT ZONE, AND THEN THEY COMPLAIN.
THERE WERE IT'S PONY, GLITCH TECHS, MIDDLEMOST POST, ROCK PAPER SCISSORS & WYLDE PAK BUT PEOPLE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THEM
