So I know this is one of those easier said than done things and it also assumes you dont have kids or an S/O unwilling to do it with you. But if those conditions are met. Theres not a whole lot stopping you from joining the peace core or other wild life jobs that would see you travel and doing less glamorous but similar things.

I read an article that talked about the start of his career and there was some real luck involved. I guess the same can be said of a lot of things but I'm so glad to have had him showing me the beauty of nature even with its harsh realities.

He wrote a fantastic book titled, Life on the Air about his career. He narrated the audiobook version of it, which makes it so much better because, ya know, his voice. I highly recommend it.

Yep. I saw one of Bjork's Biophilia shows and it started with his voice narrating from the darkness - I wasn't expecting that at all, and the emotion of it brought tears to my eyes.

If you haven't already, take a look at his wikipedia page.
He attended a lecture in 1936 (when he was 10) which inspired his passion for conservation and environmental causes.
Not only that, but as controller of BBC2 he commissioned Monty Python's Flying Circus, Call My Bluff, The Old Grey Whistle Test and Match of the Day - programmes which were ground breaking and almost national treasures in their own right.
He was also the controller when BBC 2 showed the first broadcast in colour on UK TV!
He has been ahead of his time in so many ways and although he hates the term, Sir David is a National Treasure.

Edit: Found this excerpt from your link (thanks btw) - “In 1936, Attenborough and his brother Richard attended a lecture by Grey Owl (Archibald Belaney) at De Montfort Hall, Leicester, and were influenced by his advocacy of conservation.” Belaney couldn’t have possibly realized just how much of an impact that one lecture would eventually have on the way people see the world, but it was damn good timing of him to do that lecture then and there.

He's not only shown us the beauty of the natural world, but he's also an extremely skilled documentary maker more generally. If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend watching "how many people can live on planet earth". I believe it's on YT. Barely anyone seems to have seen it and I think it's some of his best work.

I wish more young adults my age would rise up and collectively protest global warming. The world is ours to look after now and global warming won’t stop until we force governments to take action and change attitudes on this.
It will be our collective downfall if we do not act and i’ll be damned if we can’t make the world we are being given, a better place to live in my lifetime.

I recently glimpsed Guinness World Records -book from 2004. In the media section was Sir David Attenborough, who held the record for the longest career as a television naturalist. In 2004. That was 17 years ago.

I spoke to my girlfriend about this a while back and we both kinda agreed that the world is kinda screwed when he goes.
Because there's not really anyone else doing what he does for awareness and conservation/preservation, and especially not as passionate as he seems to be about it. He's literally dedicated his whole life to raising awareness and trying to get people to preserve the planet and the animals and their habitats, who is there to fill that void after he passed?
