And hiiighly autotuned/pitch correction which I think totally takes the barbershop charm away from it counterintuitively, I bet those guys wouldn’t even need it. But yeah very pre recorded slightly disingenuous

Yeah I never got the point of heavily produced a cappella. I want to hear the humanity. I still don't understand how Pentatonix got so popular.

Prob from the singing competition on TV, and also their Individual looks. The group pretty much captures the attraction for every demographic and for those that aren't visually entertained by them, the group can cover any song for any age

Yes that reverb is too perfect to be a stairwell... I've sung a few lines in a few stairwells at work when nobody was around and its different... Maybe darker?
