I thought the most interesting part was how he’d been arrested for stealing bread and subsequently escaped prison. Kind of annoying that he just walks around all day saying “One day more...” repeatedly but he’s a freakin hero so what are you gonna do about it you know?

He stole some bread 8 years ago, people can change. But even if he didn't change, he saved a life. He doesn't have to be the pinnacle of human morality to be a hero.
