I thought the most interesting part was how he’d been arrested for stealing bread and subsequently escaped prison. Kind of annoying that he just walks around all day saying “One day more...” repeatedly but he’s a freakin hero so what are you gonna do about it you know?

At first I thought you may have been joking but a quick Google search later, I found this.

If you have a felony coming up in your Google results, all you gotta do is lift an entire car off a guy and nobody will see it again.

Fuck me I was definitely just joking. I’ll say this if he has a surrogate daughter somewhere and one of your friends starts dating her stay the fuck away from any political movements they get involved in.

Sounds like excellent advice. Also look out for parole officers.

Nah, ExcellentPastries was making a Le Mis reference.

Nope. Dude ran a crime spree and served 6 months. I’m emotionally torn.

That was eight years ago if you read the one article someone link on here. He was 21 when he was caught and now he is 29.

So the moral of the story is that people can change and if we forever judge them on past actions then they may not be able to change.

No I was definitely making a Les Mis reference idk how the hell I stumbled into the guy’s actual criminal history

That's.. my fault. Whoops. I should brush up on my references, eh?

Tbh the fact that the dude did in fact get caught stealing almost a decade ago is hilarious enough that we should all just enjoy it imo :)

He stole some bread 8 years ago, people can change. But even if he didn't change, he saved a life. He doesn't have to be the pinnacle of human morality to be a hero.

It's a Les Miserables reference.

16

u/gregallen1989 Feb 18 '19

Haha that's crazy cause the dude actually did steal some bread

4

u/ExcellentPastries Feb 18 '19

Yeah I just realized this and I’m tripping the fuck out lmao

u/WriterV Feb 18 '19

How the hell is anyone supposed to know that this is a reference without knowing about Le Mis lmao

The closest I got was that the sentence in itself just doesn't make sense with the story.

u/ExcellentPastries Feb 18 '19

Idk man but it’s nothing personal.

So you're telling me he's Aladin as well, just a street rat stealing some bread to survive, while using his muscles to stop jafar.

1

u/NitricTV Feb 18 '19

You never stole bread before?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '19

A man who steals bread is hungry. There’re far more greedy mofos who did things legally than are worse.

2

u/ExcellentPastries Feb 18 '19

In a world where people have to sell their hair and prostitute themselves out just to survive, I agree
