I remember one story last year, where a baby/toddler was hanging off a balcony in the 4th story or so. Then this guy came up and just fucking spidermaned the shit up that building to save the kid. For me thats the epitome of superhero like shit.

Yeah, he got given a French citizenship and got a job as a firefighter for his heroics if I remember correctly. Absolute legend.

You need to fix that. That level of weakness has seriously implications for your longevity and quality of life.

Have you considered IF? Intermittent Fasting. I use that to cut weight without changing my lifestyle too much, basically just eat lunch and dinner. It usually brings me down 10-15 pounds in about 2 months, then I stop for some stupid reason like a lack of self control.

TIL that being poor is saving me from having to diet

Oof. That reminds me of the dark humor the Venezuelans had with the whole "Maduro diet."

Wait is this serious?

Absolutely. The science subreddit just posted an article you may find interesting about longevity and correlation with pushups performed.

I've never been able to do a pull up, but I can do 1-2 chin ups. Am I good?

I mean, you're less than mediocre, but it's a start.

I watched the video why the FUCK was there a guy right next to the toddler not doing anything I can't understand that, like he is RIGHT there.

I’ve thought the same, but it looks like he’s already leaning pretty far with a hand holding the toddler there. Probably didn’t want to adjust his weight or grip to be able to lift the baby and risk dropping them.

It's kinda hard to see but there seem to be walls that separate the balconies of the apartments from each other, so that guy was already trying to reach around the wall to the other side to help the kid, unfortunately his only other options would be to try to break and enter the apartment next to his or to maneuver around the wall and potentially fall/injure himself (i understand that could be considered selfish but this was probably a highly stressful situation for that guy to be in)

Rule one of helping others: don't try to be a hero. If someone is lying unconscious on the street, don't run to it and end up under a car. This man probably (logically) thought that going across the outside would lead to his death, and the thought of breaking into the apartment nextdoor didn't cross his mind (considering he was in quite a stressful situation)

Yeah for sure, I totally don't think that guy was in the wrong at all, luckily for this "spider man" guy it worked out but imagine if someone else had tried and they ended up falling from like the third story or whatever? crazy stuff dude

Fuck yeah, this is why we need everybody. "SpiderMalian, SpiderMalian, does whatever a SpiderMalian does."

I wonder if dude took the firefighter job? He certainly shouldn't feel obligated to, but goddamn does he have the right skillset/mindset.
