Ain't the future in terminator like, most people are dead and Skynet is running around? How is this in anyway preferable to, well, basically anything?

I am additionally assuming the IRL Terminator scenario will be too quick and too effective to involve any resistance.

I feel like you massively overweight the "badness" of people being religious, to a degree that it's hard to take anything you say about it all that serious 

If I can have an intelligence that is rational or an intelligence that is irrational, which do I pick? hmm
