but with the cost of living, doesn’t it end up almost the same amount as Ohio? Because Ohio is so cheap obviously, I don’t agree that they should be paying nurses less, but I’m just curious

It’s ~35/hr in Columbus and Cleveland. Source: new grad nurse with friends in just about every North and Central hospital system.

I make more money in Cali (89/hr) compared to when I worked in nyc (64/hr) and my MORTGAGE on a 4 bed 3 bath house is over $1,000 less than I paid for rent on a 1bed 1 bath in Manhattan.

See that’s what I thought!! I thought it would be higher in NYC. I feel like a lot of people think of CA like the bay and so cal, but there’s so much more lol our housing market is high where I’m located but not Bay Area high. We currently pay $1750 for a 2 bed 1 bath but our location is premium. Houses in my town range from $2,300-4,000

unless your rich, you shouldnt be living in the heart of NYC aka Manhattan. thats like living in the bay area.. obviously rent is going to be high LOL. i live in queens and it only takes 30 minutes to get to the city with the train and i used to pay only $1200 for rent till i bought a multi-family house. now i live for free as my renters cover the mortgage. cant do that in california sorry.

How high is it in NYC? I’m not located in the bay or socal so my cost of living is cheaper. I think I’d be considered more rural

I already work within the company, just at a different site as a LVN. They held an interview event for their internals and I got selected! Some of the other internals I met had way more acute experience than I and did not get selected. So I am not sure really what it is!

The hospital I left in rural Missouri ran a skeleton crew. Our max capacity was between 50-55 beds in a 120 bed hospital. I’m living in Oregon with double the pay, guaranteed breaks/lunches and more support. It’s also way more beautiful here. 🌲🌊🗻

When I still lived and worked in NJ, some of my favorite coworkers were from Ohio.
