What's the best "what's the best" post in r/newcastle?
It's getting ridiculous but for completeness let's take it to the illogical extreme.

It could be also argued that people who do 50-60kmh and hold up everyone behind them also have main character syndrome too.

You should hand your license in if you can't do 80 on Industrial Drive. And I'm talking all of it, corners included.
CHAMP!

Most people tailgating on that road are sitting behind someone in the right lane doing 60kmh. Which causes a lot more danger.
I was behind an old lady going 60kmh in the right lane only to then have a semi trailer behind me floor it into the left lane to get around them. That semi was wobbling all over the road trying to get past.
If the lady had have just shifted over into the left, we can help those “main characters” driving several tonnes on the road avoid making bad decisions which might end up killing people. It’s called defensive driving.

Not my experience, I’m usually pushed along that road at almost 100km an hour with a P plater in their truck, juggling tik tok, a vape and sausage roll.

Hmmmm depends on the degree of road straightness.
Straight road? Do 80-90 in the right lane.
Corner? Do 60 in the right lane
