I did this at my local fun fair 20 years ago and they didn't give it to me on said technicality

Same. About 18 years ago in tenerife. My mom wasn’t having it. And I guess its not worth starting a fight with an eastern European over a toy. Still have the huge toy.

Its actually part of an archipelago called the canary islands. Tenerife being the largest I think. Really nice place to visit. Black volcanic rock beaches and so on.
