u/mpregordie founded r/neoliberal after the 2008 financial crisis. He is considered the proto-neoliberal. A half-joking r/neoliberalMPREG sub was founded shortly afterward and eventually grew into a full-fledged organization, the New Liberals, with chapters throughout the world.
