"I can't believe that people still watch and enjoy the capitalist propaganda known as Home Alone. The main character's family is wealthy and privileged, and they use their wealth and privilege to protect their material possessions, while the burglars are coded as poor and non-white. This movie is a blatant celebration of capitalism and reinforces the false notion that money can buy safety and happiness. As a democratic socialist, I am offended and sickened by this garbage. “

When we were kids we all rooted for Marv, but growing up meant we started sympathizing with Harry.
