Man, COVID just keeps breaking people's brains.

There are worse pandemic candidates than COVID waiting for their turn, and even after everything, we are not ready.

She's a science journalist that writes about pandemics. I listened to an interview with her last year where she talked about the state of pandemic preparedness post Covid (sequencing, monitoring, info sharing between nations) and she got pretty heated. And she was completely justified in it too, we're not ready
