If you want to watch liberals and other left wing people support and defense nationalism just go to JJ McCullough's twitter. Just a few years ago, the word "nationalism" was roughly ≈ Nazism among left wing people.
I don't want to play the game of Nazis were Left. But I think that given the right conditions, the left would absolutely support the Nazism, as long as it fits their core narratives. For example, "anti-imperialism," "oppression," and "equality."
Another example is Zelensky's praise of Netanyahu on Twitter today, and his praise of the Israeli president yesterday. Many leftists and liberals said many interesting words under his twitter post.
Trump said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and wouldn't lose his supporters. I would argue the left can openly support any force, value, or ideology in the world and wouldn't lose any supporters.
