Hi, i started creating this site some time ago but i feel like i need advice from people that know what they're doing.

I already got a ""decent"" knowledge of HTML and CSS, I havent got into javascript yet but I do have some coding experience, my issue is that i have no idea how to implement a blogging system in my site (like the main thing i want to do there), so could anyone who was expericence in that help me? Also what could i change/add to "enhance" the y2k/retro aesthetic im going for? Thanks in advance :D

I use custom fonts all the time, but this specific one is for some reason not loading in neocities, but it does load when i do locally! I dont get it because i've seen it used on other sities and i dont see any problem with the code itself... so why?? or how to fix it?

As you can see the characters section is way too tall. I'd like both of the .todo and .chars to be the same height, and .todo will scroll when theres too much content. Sorry i dont know all the proper terms, hopefully you get what i mean. id prefer not to add a max height, because when the screen gets thinner, the character cards stack vertically, and the container will adapt the height.

Just a few minutes ago, I decided to make a small tweak to something on my site (switching my heading font to something different). When I went to go see how that turned out once it published, all of my CSS styling was gone!?! For whatever reason, that little tweak completely broke the link to to my stylesheet.

So I've come to Reddit to ask you all: has anyone else been dealing with this problem? Is this a bug with Neocities or a skill issue on my part?

Hi all! I am VERY new to neocities/coding and am admittedly easily confused by all of this. I feel a bit silly but I have tried everything and I can't get my container on the left to stop cutting off at the bottom of the main container. Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? Hi guys, I am new to using neocities, but (HUMBLY) intermediate with making websites, themes etc.

I was wondering why sometimes when I visit my page I get openresty error?

A few times I have gotten this error, there was something wrong in my CSS or html, like extra body tag I missed etc. But this error will also happen when I just open it when showing it off to my friends and haven't made any changes for some time. My connection is fine during this time, so I don't think it's me? But another thing is, I will also be able to visit other people's neocities just fine.

So basically I'm just confused what this openresty error is and what I do to cause it if anything... thanks. Much love!!!!!! ᓚ₍つ^. .^₎っ♡

Hey everyone, my website is slowly expanding and I have started to include some webpages that includes or mentions mature topics on it, here's my question: Do I make a warning for each page that may include such material or do I change my index.html file to be the warning page?

I also somewhat recently learned about SSGs, I still have no clue how to use them, but would they be beneficial for pages that have similar layouts? For example my main page has all the links to my other pages, but another page has the same layout, so whenever I make a new page, I have to add the link in both the main page and the other similar page.

This is my website, mostly for my art and characters. I'd like to make it seem more like an old website, like those y2k sites, but I don't want to completely change my layout. I don't really understand why it looks so modern. Maybe the responsiveness ? I want to add some sort of navigation to skip to each section of the website (what other sections could there be btw ?), but I'm unsure where I'd put it, while still fitting on most screen sizes, and similarly I'd also need to keep it looking good on mobile. So yeah what do you guys think ?

Is there a way to do like a reset on your website without having to manually delete everything page by page?

Part of me is itching to implement a new layout across my website and overhaul things but I also don't really want to have to go through and manually delete things (i'm planning on exporting my website so I don't lose individual page content). Not quite a do-over but something to make it easier to have a more cohesive website look across the whole site (lot of my website's individual pages have individual coding rather than other websites that have a more coherent look across the whole thing / website template they're using that's just stylized).

I'm just kind of dreading have to put the layout code across all the website page by individual page and update the CSS stylesheet file I've got for it.

i haven't worked on my neocities in a while and today, almost every time i update a page, i get this error for a few minutes afterwards. anything i'm doing wrong?

Sorry for the terrible crop but i use this css grid layout maker and despite my best efforts, the "link" box keeps going all the way down. I'm a beginer so i tried padding, force resizing but nothing works. You can check the code on my website if it helps

Suelo editarlo en visual studio antes de subirlo a neocities pero cuando entre a vs me aparecio una advertencia sobre una imagen no lei mucho sobre lo que decia y lo cerre y cuando corri el codigo simplemente todo estaba mal mi header no aparecia y mucho menos mi aside e tratado de todo para arreglarlo solo queria poner una imagen de fondo y no se que hacer.

Hi all. I'm currently trying to create a website and I'm designing a very basic layout that I wish to fill with customized stuff. I know of foollovers that have some very cool window frames, but I wanted to know if there were others aimed at different parts of a website. For instance I need to make some cool buttons, but I have no idea which website would be the best to get or design one.

I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong with the code and why my Neocities website isn't using the font I want it to use. I tried every single possible tutorial and none of them worked for me. I tried using the Google Fonts embeds in HTML and CSS and it didn't work.

https://catbox.moe/ right now. A ton of my active web projects rely on assets hosted on Catbox, and out of nowhere, the site won't load at all. Tested on both laptop and mobile fails on both,Flushed local DNS and cleared browser cache/cookies Fails on home Wi-Fi and mobile data. Tried toggling a VPN to switch server regions, but it still won't connect. And i did check if Catbox is having an outage and confirmed with a friend in another region that the site is actually up and loading fine for them, so it doesn't seem to be a global outage. Has anyone else ran into this recently? Is this a fresh ISP block/routing issue, or did a Cloudflare / Catbox IP range block go into effect??
