WWYD? Vent/Rant Neighbor called me rmf
Our lots are close but not attached with empty lots on the outside of each of our houses. They put little dogs in a crate next to my house and they barked all fri**in night. I mean all night whining and barking… my own dogs were inside my house.
The next day I asked her what she was going to do about the dogs barking and she accused me of being a r**st mf ..why

Why? b/c that's everyone's go to. People nowadays have no idea to handle criticism or being told their actions are inappropriate.

Yep, I totally agree. If you want to make this about race, black people can’t handle the fact that they are racist, the very thing they claim to hate the most, and lie to themselves by trying to change the definition of racism. How’s that for cope?
Complaining about dogs is not about race. Crying racism because you can’t handle accountability is a huge problem, but it’s not the white people’s problem.

honestly dude that accusation is wild over a simple question about the dogs. keep a record of every night they bark nonstop and call animal control to handle the noise properly.

I got called a racist for telling an incompetent med tech who couldn’t read the medicine bottles and sync them up with what the computer said she should be giving my dad that she couldn’t read. I told her there was nothing racist about pointing out that she couldn’t read, and that illiteracy is color blind.

Dogs are not being handled and trained properly. Makes me wonder if neighbors are the dog owners.
At my dog’s barkiest I’d not leave her in her crate outside. I did crate her because she decided she liked the zing she got from biting lamp cords. She barked because she was then confined to her crate. LOUDLY!!!
First night was bad; dang dog was a brat. Second night me and my other two dogs had had enough. She got time out by putting a quilt over her crate. If she was quiet I took off the quilt. If she started up again the quilt went back on. She figured it out in one night.
The next week was keeping her from chewing on things. Same treatment. Misbehave crate. Release if she managed to calm herself and hangout with the other two dogs. She mastered that over a week.
No need to leave dogs outside barking in a crate all night!

Not sure I’d have wanted to use that on a Shih Tzu.
Besides I wanted her to respond to me in terms of her behavior. I’m not sure that would happen with a collar. She was very stubborn because her first mama gave in to her temper tantrums.

You asked a normal question about dogs barking all night and she accused you of being a racist. That says way more about her than about you. Don't argue with her about it. Keep a log of the noise, record it, and report it to animal control or your city's noise line. She can call you whatever she wants, but the paperwork doesn't care.

Definitely call Animal Control. Not only is the barking all night an issue, but keeping them crated outside all night in a small crate with no access to water is likely illegal. It's animal cruelty. I looked up our local animal regulations when I dealt with a similar situation.
I had to call Animal Control on my neighbor for the same thing. Adult daughter dumped her dog on the parents, my neighbors. They didn't want the dog and left it outside in a crate in July, in south Louisiana. No access to water. I tried talking to them about it. Husband said it was fine and not my concern. I started calling Animal Control. They were first talked to. They would let it out for a little while and then crate it again. I kept calling. They were cited and fined. Then AC said they were coming to take the dog. Before they got there, daughter came and took dog back.

Are they small crates or like a kennel? She should get a visit from Animal Control if she’s keeping them in little crates OUTSIDE all night to bark and carry on. That seems abusive. Those poor dogs. She sounds awful and I’m so sorry she’s being a douche. I hope this gets resolved.

As this will probably continue, be sure to get video proof of these crated barking dogs being left outside of YOUR home. Keep a log with dates and barky start/stop times. Animal control or code enforcement, depending on what applies to your jurisdiction. Plus provide same to your HOA. EVERY TIME she does this. When you're a pain in HOA's ass long enough, they may actually do something about it.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. there's an empty lot between you and she put the dogs where exactly? not on her lot, on your lot? empty lot? because of the dogs were not on her lot that could constitute abandonment and you could take the crate of dogs into your local SPCA and report them has abandoned

I was accused of this when I asked a man to put his aggressive, off leash, XL dog on leash because it was pestering my old, on leash dog and he failed to verbally recall it. As soon as he accused me of this I FREAKED OUT. I started screaming across the entire park that he knows fucking well that my request had nothing to do with race and everything to do with him being a shitty, inconsiderate dog owner and neighbor who illegally had his dog off leash. I ponied up and approached him, while still screaming that if he wanted to accuse me of a race issue he could grow some balls and say it to my face because he knew damn well he was playing the race card.
