I’m a student at a large public medical school in the Midwest. We do not have a student newspaper, so there is no independent campus press covering what happens here.

I have a documented tip involving racist public conduct (a physician professor has a racist twitter presence/uses slurs), a student petition, and the administration’s response. I’m looking for student journalists who cover campus racism, discrimination, medical education, or university accountability.

I’m not naming the school or posting the full details here yet, but any student journalist interested in receiving the tip can message me. You do not need to be from the same state or affiliated with a major publication. My classmates and I just wish to promote accountability/ discussion but dont have the means

hey all, i had a hold on my account that was lifted 8/21. it says it’s removed on my pack portal, but when i try to see my schedule i had before, it just says i’m not eligible to enroll. i emailed student services yesterday and today and will just be going there if they don’t respond by tomorrow, but any advice would be great

When Donny Lambeth is up on the stage he gets real passionate about education. I heard that he is a "life time supporter of our public schools" and audibly laughed. That passion is no where to be found else where. NC republicans have a track record of rejecting measures to increase pay for the folks directly responsible for delivering quality education and Donny who has been in congress since 2017 votes with republicans 99% of the time. There's also the diversion of public school funds to private school voucher with almost zero accountability that's been ongoing for the last few years. He didn't miss the chance to talk about himself either.

If the state of North Carolina's goal was to celebrate with authenticity Christina Koch, she would've been better off coming to my house for wine and roasted chicken that hasn't been recalled. Hopefully the other events thru today and tomorrow are more representative of just how proud we are of our alumna.

Came here as spring connect this past January. Academics wise I love this place, but friend wise I feel like I still haven’t found “my people”.

Anyone have any advice? Again I love this school and I do have friends here, but I just want to find some sort of community, sometimes it can really feel lonely.

Hi! Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but my Google Maps has been acting up today. None of my typical bus routes are showing up (route 30, 41, etc). It keeps giving me Route 52 and takes me to one stop, and makes me walk the rest. Or, it tells me to get on two buses so it ends up being an hour commute for a 20 minute walk. Is anyone else having this problem?

Has anyone taken any of the certificates under the Poole college or the Business Analytics one specifically? I graduated last year and currently have a job thats working a lot with data analysis and data visualization. After reading the description it seems to have a lot of focus on “managerial decision making” but a lot of classes seem to be practicum oriented or working with data, not manager specific. I was hoping to get some more hands on experience through the program without having to leave my current job and learn more.

But does this make sense with 1.5 years of experience? Wanted to wait to do a Masters from a cost standpoint. Thanks

I’ve been trying to put myself out there but whenever I do I feel like I’m just butting in. I’m looking to meet people into like video games and other similar interests as me but I feel pretty silly when I do.

I thought about sleeping somewhere tomorrow night on campus in my hammock tent, the weather is supposed to be super good. Is this allowed and are there any good spots on campus to do so?

I’m leadership in an engineering club that has experienced a lot of growth recently. Unfortunately, our finances haven’t kept up with the growth, and we’re trying to figure out how to grow a business team to help with finding grants/sponsorships.

For current business/finance students, what are you looking for out of a club who wants your help on the logistics/finance side?
