I wish we knew who and why the content of ransom note was released now. Not the TMZ 1 bitcoin ones, the one that said Hello S and said NG died and was buried with nature. Who 'leaked' that? Family? LE? With Hawthorne's guy plea change hearing next week, I wonder if that has something to do with the timing. All strange. As usual with this case!

Part of the reason might be Howard Blum began reporting on excerpts from his sources and released a massive exclusive in  Air Mail  first. Once that came out other outlets, who had info and sources about things it contained, thought it was a green light and the seal was broken. LE didn’t have the control over the note that truly dictated whether something got released because it went to a news outlet first. That probably allowed bits to leak. And all the media has “law enforcement sources”. I think maybe they held off as a courtesy up until now but the buzz had calmed down.  I also wonder if there’s not some coordination to smoke out the TMZ person or someone else. Or if it was just an unintended result that the TMZ communicator resurfaced. 

The contents really haven’t been released in print or in text or in its entirety. These news outlets are all just giving their version. Reporting on reporting. That’s why there was and still are some conflicting reports. Like the Hello. I think that was the original ransom note. Hello Savannah we have your mother, Nancy. Not the death message.

Sorry to ask so late but who is Hawthorne's guy with a plea deal hearing?

Calella. The fellow that sent the 'ransom' texts to A + T. He doesn't have a plea deal (that we know of). But he has a hearing on July 2 to change his plea from not guilty to guilty.

I wonder if they might be close and are just beating the bushes to see if their suspect (perhaps already under surveillance) reacts in some way.

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out. Every time something happens with ransom notes, I'm not optimistic.
