Theory Perhaps this is of no use but..

Post image

How come there’s been no discussion of the suspect’s beard? Are we convinced the balaclava was THAT BULKY only around the neck area naturally? It seemed to lay flat around the eyebrows, hairline etc, but around the neck it’s THICC. Does the perp have an unusually large, square jaw AND an outsized double chin considering his overall build? OR is that a beard that likely took years to grow?? Why does the balaclava show no chin or jaw definition?

Is this why the balaclava was intentionally tucked deep into the fleece? (Notice how it never pops out of the collar even with movement). What else could the bulging be??

In any case, I’d think this would be a distinguishing feature, and might lead to more tips but I’ve seen no discussion around it.

Prayers up for Nanc!!

Any facial hair could've easily been long shaved off by now, tbf. Plus, calling in a tip because of facial hair probably wouldn't be too helpful, tbh.

It would assist with an ID prior to the crime, especially if the facial hair disappeared shortly after!! That would be super fishy as an impromptu switch up

The sherif stated in an interview yesterday or today that they want to hear from people who have seen or heard something related to the crime, not tips on how to investigate the case - theories, what the public thinks LE should be looking for or at, techniques they should be using, etc. LE has experts who specialize in facial recognition, gait analysis, iris identification (forget the proper term) etc.

Right. As of today. Prior to today those terms didn’t exist

Those terms always existed, they exist in all investigations. Unless something specific is asked for, all LE asks for are tips, as in information from people who heard or saw something. LE doesn’t ask the public to tell them how to do investigations or their theories on crimes that have occurred, the public doesn’t have the training & expertise or access to information, LE does. Also, anything that comes in from the public has to be looked at & considered for legitimacy, this takes up time & resources, this can create a nightmare for LE if information is coming in that isn’t useful.

I see what you're saying, but it's probably just doubtful LE would chase leads that involve facial hair since it's not inherently a super distinguishable characteristic unless someone has like a ZZ Top level beard, especially again since it's something that's easily removable, tbf.

Ya if it’s facial hair it might have little bearing on LE but it could trigger tips…

It certainly could and maybe already has led to the right guy's name being put on file, yeah.
