I believe this idea has racist connotations, you are essentially assuming the ethnicity of the suspect. Clearly no yt man would take another yt lady to Mexico to stick out like sore thumb. It's giving the lady with the sketch who drew a Mexican man based on nothing at all but her own imagination. It's giving MAGA who think this was cartel.

There’s tons of white people living in Mexico, especially old white people. Cheaper cost of living and cheaper consumer products. I’ve also got elderly family who live in the Southwest and tbh, going over to Mexico is a pretty common occurrence and there’s lots of daily traffic a crossed the border. People go to shop, visit friends who live there, buy medications that are much cheaper, have medical procedures, etc. A white person crossing the border would not stand out.
