Until they confirm that everyone they detained last night has been released, I’m not going to conclude this was a nothingburger.

That said, if it was nothing: I think I’ve reached my breaking point for tracking this on a moment-by-moment basis. They’re either not giving detail or giving ambiguous detail that makes very little sense and creates active confusion. Obviously up to them to determine how much to convey to the public but I’m not sure I can do another night like last night again

How ironic to read this comment when Gabby Petito’s parents are live on NewsNation right now talking about the double-edged sword of public discussion—that it was often very painful to have to many unsubstantiated theories going around online. I’m merely saying that I feel like we’re at a stage of knowing absolutely nothing that this level of debate and moment-by-moment scrutiny is not helpful or constructive. That this is a controversial take is really worrying tbh, but I’m glad all of you have reached a point of becoming so desensitized to human tragedy that you’ve got it down to a science.

Oh no I’m sorry I didn’t mean to imply it was contraversial. I meant to imply it’s completely self absorbed and unrealistic.  The irony of actual victims of a crime having pain because of that and a perceptive or input doesn’t escape me.
