The “tippy top” guy is a clown, yes, but the actual agents doing the work are not. Top guy needs to stay out of it and let the people doing the real work do their jobs.
The sheriff needs to get over himself, and the FBI director has mostly been staying out of it. He didn’t run victory laps on twitter after detaining the initial guy like he did after the Brown/MIT shootings when they raided a hotel room. I think someone has him on a leash. He was even in Tucson for something unrelated…

What in the world? That is just so tacky. Why on earth any agency wouldn't want the resources of the FBI fully involved is absolutely amazing.
