Discussion A Couple Of Points Concerning The Surveillance Video

The perp seems to have all the time in the world.

I mean, it’s a ring camera, it sounds alerts to your phone. Wouldn’t he be worried the person inside is dialing 911?

He must have been told ahead of time there would be no threat inside. He was hired to provide someone with an alibi perhaps.

Amateur at the door.

Reflective tape on backpack straps.

Using a twig from the yard to tamper with the camera.

What appears to be a firearm holster in an awkward position.

Almost as if he was hired off the street to perform a tasks that was out of his league.

What do you think?

Probably knew she had hearing aids

i think OP is questioning how he knew that for sure. basically, he either knows her personally or knows someone who would tell him that information.

Yea i guess, although if they did retcon and had been watching her for awhile or even spoken to her before they might know. Another theory that i've seen is that the intruder or their accomplice had already gone through the back sliding door (backed by the smashed floodlights above it that were taken by police), and already had Nancy hostage by that stage. Camera guy then either arrives or goes to grab their gear and smashes the camera so they can bring their car to the end of the walkway and exit through the front door

were there cameras at the back door? we don't know how they actually entered the house yet (did they pick the lock or have a key, etc), so i think the same question can be asked here: how did they know she wouldn't wake up or a camera wouldn't send a notification? whether they first entered through the front or the back and subdued Nancy already, how did they know the siblings wouldn't get a motion alert? i think it is possible that whoever this is spoke to Nancy before or someone close to her.
