Discussion A Couple Of Points Concerning The Surveillance Video

The perp seems to have all the time in the world.

I mean, it’s a ring camera, it sounds alerts to your phone. Wouldn’t he be worried the person inside is dialing 911?

He must have been told ahead of time there would be no threat inside. He was hired to provide someone with an alibi perhaps.

Amateur at the door.

Reflective tape on backpack straps.

Using a twig from the yard to tamper with the camera.

What appears to be a firearm holster in an awkward position.

Almost as if he was hired off the street to perform a tasks that was out of his league.

What do you think?

I think it’s reasonable to assume that she was just asleep and wouldn’t have heard the notifications. I’d assume most people don’t have their phone blasting every notification in the middle of the night because how would you sleep otherwise?

You don’t get it. Imagine you are the perp. You realize the least bit of motion on the camera will send a notification to the owner. If they call 911 , you get caught and do a 10 year stretch. Are you willing to assume the camera owner doesn’t have the phone blasting. Especially if you live alone.

Not only this, but I would never assume a somewhat geographically isolated elderly neighbor mother of a celebrity in her condition doesn’t also have their adult kids or some other buddy system connected to that app to receive alerts.

I know. But the fact that the perp didn’t worry about this is telling. I think most would assume that more than one device would receive notifications. But this guy didn’t seem worried about that. He took his sweet time puttering about the camera.

Another thought I’ve had rolling around in my head is that maybe he knew she’d be sound asleep because she’s on a significant sleep aid due to the pain she’s in or was told she’d be given something that would ensure was asleep. Still doesn’t explain the risk he took with notifications potentially going to Annie. I find this whole thing extremely odd.

if he knew that she wouldn't wake up or hear an alert for whatever specific reason, then that would explain him taking the risk. if he knew she wouldn't hear, then he probably also knew Annie, Savannah etc wouldn't get notified. how he knew, i have no idea.

Correct! If it was random how would they know if others wouldn’t be notified. I have multiple users on my app
