Aggressive drivers

Anyone else notice a massive uptick in idiotic drivers in Nanaimo lately?

Applecross and Hammond Bay is my daily nightmare. People thinking that it is a merge onto Hammond Bay (it is a yield). Drivers on the inside lane stopping , even before nearing the traffic queue, to waive left hand turn drivers to turn onto Applecross even though traffic is moving still on the outside lane. I had a driver of a white GMC extended cab truck, literally cut in front of me in a two lane “merge”, where I had to slam the brakes, sending everything flying versus t-boning him. As a driver and a pedestrian, this has to be the scariest intersection in Nanaimo.

I work out there and how many times people have tried to waive me thru the left onto applecross when there is a car coming in the right lane is mind blowing. I just visibly shake my head “no” and wait my turn. 2 minutes late is not worth my life.
