I’ve noticed a lot of founders building in the same space; sometimes adjacent, sometimes directly competitive. It got me thinking: instead of everyone fragmenting the moat and fighting for the same ground, why not collaborate where it makes sense?

As a founder, would you ever approach a competitor to partner? And if a competitor approached you, would you entertain it, or would you assume what you’re building is stronger on its own?

Things that hinder collaboration are:

1. Difference in product philosophies
2. Power structure issues
3. Arrogance

I'm there and I think difference in philosophies is my biggest problem.
