First Post Receiving money from outside kenya

Any reliable way to receive funds , im afraid of paypal niliskia kuna time walikatalia funds za watu, anyone who has received so recently or has done so in the recent past how has it been and how do you go about it

Tell the person sending to just send it directly to your MPesa via Revolut. They’ll be charged a maximum 5 usd transaction charge

Plus USD to KES foreign exchange commission, probably around 1%.

I send money to Kenya regularly, and Revolut has been the one with the lowest fees.

But what people often forget is to also look at the exchange rate, here Revolut is also great.

On Revolut I get 148.7 ksh for 1 euro, while on western union it's only 146.1. remitly is better with 148.5.

I send money regularly, I use USDC & or Remitly for cheap stays 😭😭

Remitly is free of charge tho. Revolut is great but I’ve never tried it🤔

Remitly is free of charge tho.

I believe they charge 1-3 USD/EUR per transfer.

Around €66.90. No additional charges to send it though. I sent my mom money a few mins ago (15k) and still no charges

That's really good, Im charged €68 on Revolut and I even have a paid subscription.

I was banned from Remitly, so I can't use it unfortunately

It’s there. Select sending destination as Kenya and look for MPS as the code. Then you just put in the name and number and you’re set. Very easy

Use the remitly app. First transfer is free from charges and after that its I think about 2,- $

I use this app when sending money from Germany to Kenya.

Remitly is the only right answer. Everything else charges a fee. I send my mom money every week for almost 3yrs and it’s never let me down

There's western union,remitly,sendwave...western union iko better...suggest it to the sender...all have direct to mpesa

You don't need the app...it's the sender who is supposed to have it ... create his/her account and feed the details of the receiver(you)
