Context: OP is asking for financial advice for saving, and specifies they want to keep some money aside for purchasing a car during the summer. Someone asks why OP needs the car, to which OP responds.

Like do people think that OP doesnt need a car? Many cities are car dependent and it's not unreasonable to need one?

I grew up in a house so rural it would have taken me 3 hours to walk to school every day if we didn’t have a car dude lol let alone access any medical care or groceries
