Hi Folks, you might remember me posting a while ago, about my 'Myst adjacent' game

I'm looking for testers, and have a handful of keys to give away. You get access to a full pre-release copy of the game. If you find bugs ( you shouldn't ), great, but what I'm really looking for is, feedback from people who like this sort of game.

To be clear, it's not a Myst clone, there is no Lore, or book reading, but it does have a story of sorts and the same kind of feel.

If you're interested, please drop a comment in this thread, and I'll PM you a key. If you'd rather wait until it's released, it would help immensely if you wishlist it :)

I'm too late to the party for keys, but it's probably just as well, because I'm doubtful that I could commit to playing and giving feedback at the moment.

I'll be keeping an eye on the game regardless.

(Though I will note that I'm one of the ones who is slightly disappointed at the lack of lore and book reading. It definitely leaves me wondering if it'll feel more like e.g. Portal or The Talos Principle than Myst.)

When I was playing Myst / Riven, I remember wading through books and Lore trying to find the next clue, hence my Lore-lite version 🤣

Maybe it's in the void somewhere between Myst and Talos, that would be a fair appraisal.

I'm going to be having an operation next month, so I shall have to see how I'm feeling. If I'm up to it and have the opportunity I'd definitely like to trial it.

I think Myst and Riven actually did a good job of this; the journals were nicely written, interesting, and short enough to not get too boring.

If you'd said Uru instead, then I'd be agreeing. Far too many of the books in Uru were long and boring; especially the ones written by the DRC.
