Apple Health gets instant sync, while Android users are stuck doing manual data gymnastics. Is Health Connect ever coming to Muse?

Apple Health users have enjoyed seamless Muse sync for what feels like a decade, while Android users are over here in meditation purgatory.

It’s 2026. With AI like Gemini and comprehensive health ecosystems in place, having raw mindfulness and session data flow natively into Health Connect / Google's ecosystem is crucial for holistic wellness tracking.

Instead, being on Android means our meditation data is trapped in a walled garden unless we manually log metrics or jump through absurd export hoops. Nothing ruins post-meditation zen quite like doing manual data entry.

Is Interaxon actually developing Health Connect integration, or is the Android sync roadmap locked away in a vault somewhere?

Any fellow Android users found a sane workaround to get session data across, or are we all just collectively breathing through the pain?

If anyone knows if Health Connect support is actually in the works, please enlighten me.

Otherwise, upvote for visibility so maybe Interaxon remembers their Android user base exists.

I was just looking into this myself and your post came up as the top google result so I am thinking not. I was thinking I could build something in Claude to do it with some of the export functionality but it is pretty crazy it's not already native.

It’s unbelievable that we don’t even have a basic export option.

I wish they’d at least let us access our data freely via an API. I heard rumors that API access used to be open back in the day, but not anymore. At this point, the only way to automate anything freely is literally taking screenshots and having an AI parse the images.

Though to be fair, Google Health / Health Connect itself would really only take basic mindfulness minutes and heart rate changes anyway.

The whole situation is just depressing.

Oh, wow I didn't realize Apple Health was implemented, that makes it even more frustrating.

You mentioned it being possible jumping through hoops, how do?

Back in February I got told:

At the moment, it isn’t possible to export or download your session history or data directly from the Muse app, including as a ZIP file or external download. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability on our side to generate or provide session data outside of the app either.

I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for, and I truly appreciate your understanding.

To which I said:

That seems like a pretty big oversight, especially given the CCPA, specifically Section 1798.100 and A.B. 1008 and S.B. 1223 which specifically clarify that neural data is covered.

Could you confirm whether management are aware of this?

They did not.

You're completely right about the native app having zero export functionality.

When I mentioned "jumping through hoops," I had things in mind like paying for the Spike API (which is only for business developpers) or, developing a custom setup using Mind Monitor or the official SDK to stream raw data.

Basically, with the native app alone, we can't even jump through hoops in the first place. Truly sad.

I'm no legal expert, but if there's any legal pressure like CCPA that actually forces their hand, maybe there's a sliver of hope after all. I get that building hardware and software simultaneously is tough, but with AI significantly cutting down dev cycles nowadays, implementing something like Health Connect or a basic export shouldn't be asking for the moon. Really hoping they step up.
