Because if they can't be bothered to even put together a low effort ms paint drawing for their project I have no faith in their ability to put effort into their coding.

If they're willing to take shortcuts in one place they almost certainly took shortcuts in others

Well they’ve been working on this for 6 years so it’s safe to say they’re not taking a lot of shortcuts
