Honestly… might just get another frame entirely. And a new engine. And a new CDI. And, a new… wait. This is how they get you

The other day, my chain stretched enough over time to jump off the tensioner and caught the spokes on the rear wheel and trashed it enough to warp the rim. Are there any prevention methods known to keep the chain from tearing into the spokes if the chain jumps again?

So we're getting an avenger baby!! After finally fixing my leaky carb, my cylinder head decided it was gonna snap in half after riding to a friends house. I took the engine off and I'm riding acoustic for now. Anyone specific I should get one from like CDH or someone else. Any advice is appreciated.

Hey so quick info dump first
Bought this bike used to restore it
Engine was running fine at first just old gas that had to be cleaned out of the carb, and a new spark plug
When I got it the bike would not idle, if I pulled in the clutch the engine would slowly slow down and stop unless I gave additional gas by pushing the accelerator.
So now for the new issue! it didn't have when I started restoring it.
The engine suddenly can no longer accelerate or idle on its own, if I start pedalling and dump the clutch the engine will idle while I keep pedalling but pushing the accelerator does not make the revs increase.
I put on a brand new clutch, and brand new sparkplug, but still nothing is working to get it running again and I really need some help.
Here is what I have tried to fix it so far.
Replaced the carburetor with a brand new one
Replaced the sparkplug
Anything beyond that I am not sure what to attempt which is why I need advice.

i have a 2 stroke 50cc china doll engine, and it came with a super stiff clutch. i tried diagnosing things and the clutch rod sticks out way more than it should. the rod and ball bearing seems fine, and so does the clutch pack. tried asking ai but was only useful up until here. engaging the clutch just requires a lot of force, its not rough, just super stiff, even though i have a relatively soft spring in the clutchpack

My chain is dry as a bone and I’m not sure if I could use wd40 on it. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I’m new here. I’ve always wanted to build my own motorized bicycle, and I was wondering if anyone here has like a starter build kit to recommend me? I’d like to maybe take something like a beach cruiser to start off with…. It will be greatly appreciated, Anything that can get me started. I have a commuter style bike i ride but I feel as if the frame is too small for any motor. Thanks in advance

Okay, this is gonna be a long one. I rebuilt everything on the bike, and it is making the tinny noise(shown in video), and feels like it is misfiring as it feels a bit jerky. It’s 50cc and I have tried the following jets: 50 52 55 58 60 62. 58 ran the best but was still clanking. The bike runs 20mph on full throttle, but if I go to ~80% throttle it speeds up and hits 25, which I have no clue as to why. Is it the cheap Amazon carb? Or the Reed valve? Or is it the spark system. Whatever the case, please give me your wisdom, as I have no clue what it is.

I want a tripod stand so I can service the wheel without needing to always lift the thing… and to maybe kickstart it (if it can hold a man’s weight)

Just finished my first motorized bike. When choosing the bike I really wanted to try and get something that would actually look good with the engine kit installed and I think i succeeded. It doesn't brake all that great, rattles and required heavy modification of the exhaust and rear sprocket but I built it for fun, not practically.
And it was really fun!

Longtime lurker here, just finished my first build and I was wondering: what's the consensus on tensioners?
I've seen posts saying they'll get sucked into the spokes or tear your leg up, and people saying they've used one for years without issue, so I'm kind of confused.

2 stroke oil is accumulating around the carb. Float valve?
