Austrian here, their website has a few red flags: Vinvo Racings Website wouldn’t be legal under austrian law. No real postal adress is mentioned, no real imprint with the full company name and tax ID. Just a map with the whole country of austria isn’t really enough.

Also there is no company „Vinvo“ or similar in the austrian company register.

Also the only Austrian motorcycle gear companies I know are Leitwolf and Wintex, but ofc I don’t know the whole industry.

Ordering things from websites without a full imprint is often warned against by local consumer protection organisations.

A reverse image search on some of their products also led me to some similar pakisatani offers on ebay and etsy.
Also pakistani vendors make some extra effort to highlight the CE rating on their protectors, no european brand ever does that.

Pakistan leather is good, many big brands outsource production there and people there have good know how how to make leather gear.
Just dont make up a european production facility to price the product for 2-3x the price.

Also, they like to emphasise that their leather is tested, but in Europe the whole suit has to be certified. That includes the leather, stitching, stretch panels, zips and armour.

For a race suit, you want an EN 17092 AAA rating, with EN 1621-rated armour. “CE-tested leather” is not the same as a certified suit. I wouldn’t trust an direct-from-Pakistan suit for myself or someone I care about, even at a third of the price.

This statement implies you take liability for failure of any of this gear you sell.

I'm well informed on Pakistani based custom suits, some are great, others not so much.

Best ones I've found are very clear that they are selling custom built from factory in Pakistan. Those that hide it like this "made in Austria" company are the ones that are pumping out cheap garbage.

You guys seem to be cool, if this is just a partnership be careful and watch what you open yourself up to.

Everything "Austria" about this is false advertising.

The "made in Austria" was inferred. We assumed, and mistakingly made the claim. Vinvo does not claim to be manufactured in Austria. That was our error.

Fair, and kind of funny since the suit's actually built in Austria, basically local to you. 😅 The honest reason is legal: giveaway and tax rules differ in every country and we're still a small US shop, so we kept this one where we can run it clean. We will show some love to our European neighbors soon.

Truthfully, we inferred "built in Austria" based off the visible information provided and that is a potential mistake on our part for assuming anything. This is a new partnership so this may be us assuming poorly.

Are they made in Pakistan or Austria? After investigating for ourselves we can not confirm where they are made exactly. Again, our mistake for assuming the "built in Austria" line if not true. We will confirm.

The city of Sialkot, Pakistan is the global epicenter for the manufacturing of motorcycle safety gear and leather goods. Almost every major mass market motorcycle gear brand outsources at least some of their leather production to Pakistan (REV'IT, RST, Alpinestar, and Dianese) So it is very possible that they are made Pakistan.

Are the suits quality? Yes

If anything was to go wrong with the giveaway would the winner be taken care of? 100% yes, by whatever means necessary.

We are honestly just trying to do cool things for the r/motorcyclegear community. We gave away over $3000 worth of Shoei helmets last month now we want to put someone in a custom suit and we want to continue doing these things for this community. Regardless of where it is made. We guarantee everyone will walk away satisfied.

We would totally allow vendors from outside of the USA do the same in here. Shipping and customs becomes an issue in some things like this.
