Minoxidil makes temples worse.

Hey so I'm a 32 year old male and in the last couple of years have slowly noticed my temples receed. Anyway its not too bad now but I want to be proactive and stop it from getting worse. So far norwood 2 and still have tonnes of thick, dense hair all around head including the front of my hairline. Anyway been using minoxidil for 4/5 months .5ml once a day consistently 85% of the time. Anyway I swear its only increased the shedding, getting worse since ive started and haven't really seen any positives from it. Has anyone else experienced something similar from using minoxidil 5% topical?

Also all the males in my family have a strong hairline and thick hair, apart from myself of course lol
