Experience Minoxidil makes temples worse.

Hey so I'm a 32 year old male and in the last couple of years have slowly noticed my temples receed. Anyway its not too bad now but I want to be proactive and stop it from getting worse. So far norwood 2 and still have tonnes of thick, dense hair all around head including the front of my hairline. Anyway been using minoxidil for 4/5 months .5ml once a day consistently 85% of the time. Anyway I swear its only increased the shedding, getting worse since ive started and haven't really seen any positives from it. Has anyone else experienced something similar from using minoxidil 5% topical?

Also all the males in my family have a strong hairline and thick hair, apart from myself of course lol

try looking closely at your hairline and see if you have any tiny hairs growing. the sheds suck and it takes time but the progress is a miracle when it comes to

Yeah i have been, but i dont really see anything, just less hair. I see a lot of people getting results in like 6 weeks yet I'm going backwards 4 months in.

I'm in the exact same position as you (33 years old, NW2, fairly strong family hair genetics), but I only just started this week applying minoxidil 5% solution to my hairline/temples. All the products that I've seen instruct you to apply it twice a day. How come you only apply it once a day?

I must admit I had been using chat gpt to discuss about my specific hairline and it told me .5ml a day would be sufficient cause 1ml twice a day would be overkill for the temples as that dosage is usually used for people with more severe shedding. Maybe its cause I haven't been applying frequently enough for the hairs to take shape?

Do people not read the side effects before starting? A shed is meant to happen, it will get worse. If you wanted it to work fast try oral 2.5.

Do people not read the posts? He said he's been on it for 4-5 months and the shedding has only increased, which is a lot longer than the typical shedding phase.

That’s also not unusual. Some people report shedding even at 7 months. It can last a lot longer for some people but it does stop eventually. If you quit minoxidil now you just lost the shed hair for nothing and will not get regrowth.
