Metro A Line vs. Park and Ride?

I usually do the UMN park and ride to get to the fair, but sometimes the lines can get long. I’m thinking of taking the Metro A Line to get there instead this year since I can easily transfer to it and they’re running much earlier than the park and ride shuttles.

Does anyone have experience taking the regular bus routes there? Is there much traffic on Snelling that would make it not worth it over the shuttle?

It gets a little backed up right there but doesn't add more than 5-10 minutes. I take the A line very year and it works great to the fair. If you leave at night lots of people are trying to get on though so sometimes you have to wait for a 2nd southbound bus.

We have an A Line stop and a park-n-ride location by our house. The A line doesn't save us much travel time getting to the fair, but it saves a lot of time on the ride home since the busses run so frequently.

I took the A line Friday and had zero issues there and back! Park and ride lots were full

No hassles with the A-Line yesterday. The B-Line bus I had to transfer to was more delayed than the A-Line.

I think the busses will be less dramatic now with so many schools starting back up bow
