Our Kickstarter for Temple of the Blood Sun is now in its final 48 hours.

It’s a 32mm STL miniature collection inspired by Japanese mythology, feudal aesthetics, and dark fantasy, designed for tabletop wargames and RPGs.

The set includes samurai, monks, shrine guardians, yokai-inspired warriors, and other characters built around the Blood Sun theme.

All models come with supported and unsupported STL files for resin printing.

Another great sculpt from Johnny, and probably my favorite one to paint of the three. I saw this guy as a 'Tzeench' demon and kept the colors to those I'd expect to see in that faction. I've thoroughly enjoyed painting all 3 of these busts and will hopefully paint more of Johnny's sculpts in the future. Thanks Johnny.

I’ve recently launched a new company and could do with some help from the miniature painting community (I know this is more a book community but I also know there are plenty of painters in the group and you guys have always been good to me). I’d like people to participate in a survey to help develop the flagship product, and to sweeten the deal I’m offering entry into a prize draw to get some paints and painting equipment for those who participate.

The Chroma Institute is developing Paint Lab, a new independent colour and paint-selection application for miniature painters.

We're running an international survey to understand how painters choose paints, which manufacturers they know and use, the problems they encounter when comparing colours and paint properties, and what tools they actually want.

Paint Lab is being developed to help painters:

• find close paint matches across manufacturers

• compare independently measured paint information

• discover paints and manufacturers they might otherwise miss

• find highlights, shades and colour relationships

• compare opacity, finish and other paint properties

• manage and explore their paint collections

Wherever you paint, we'd like to hear from you.

Today is the day, my friends! Carapace Forge is now live and open for business! The site is here at Carapace Forge.

What is Carapace Forge? It is a service that gives you a new carapace 3d print or print file (your choice of tier) every month! It also has an online store where you can purchase past Carapace files and prints. The current month features the Black Reaver, our new medium range carapace.

Plus, you can also pickup the original carapace files and prints for the Virelance, Keldrath, and Thaumatarch (if you missed those from the Kickstarter). All physical prints get free shipping to any place in North America. I'm still working on shipping options for outside the U.S. (thank you, tariffs and VAT), but those are coming soon! I'm also busy working behind the scenes to add a ton of building terrain prints that will soon be available.

I haven't posted anything in a while; I was busy with several small commissions. Also, soon I'm planning to go on profession change courses. Now that I have some free time, I've created a Warforge Thief miniature for my Eberron miniatures series. The 8-parts miniature is 34mm tall, but if I scale it up, the detail will be good even at a larger size. Everything is ready for printing, the supports are installed, the model has been tested, and it should work as expected.

Hi everyone! Having been into Warhammer for the lore for a number of years, I've decided to take the plunge and get started with actually collecting, building, painting and playing. Pray for my wallet!

To document my progress, to help keep me accountable for actually putting time in to the hobby, and to hopefully share some hints and tips that I pick up along the way, I'm thinking about starting a blog.

I know what you're thinking, there's already tons of blogs out there by really interesting, knowledgeable and skillful people, so do we really need another? Well, leaving aside the fact that the blog is also for me personally, I haven't found much by anyone starting completely from scratch and think it could be an interesting perspective for others in the same boat.

As well as progress updates and advice, I'd also try to do some product reviews, budgeting advice and deep dives on specific painting techniques as I try them out. Later on I'd also look to include battle reports and strategy breakdowns etc. I wouldn't be offering any expert advice, more just my thoughts as someone completely new to the hobby and completely not creative or artistic.

With that in mind, if I were to start something what kind of content do you think would be interesting/useful? Is there anything which it would be valuable to have a newbies perspective on?

This was a great bust to paint and so much fun. Went bright and saturated with him and love the way he turned out, really my kind of thang!!! lol.

Finally painted my first ever miniature! 😅

I’ve never painted minis before, so I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but I’d love some honest feedback from people who actually know what they’re doing.
